Angels4Epilepsy's Jamie's Trip to Build-A-Bear & Pediatric Cancer Awareness
The girls love Build-A-Bear as most kids do. We are even helping to try to spread awareness for a page that was started by a wonderful woman who wants to raise awareness about pediatric cancer. She started this page in hopes that Build-A-Bear might consider creating a bear just for cancer awareness among children and it appears to be a huge hit. Check out the page Pediatric Cancer Awareness Bear.
Last Christmas, we delivered Build-A-Bears along with HOPE Dolls to children with epilepsy and children with cancer. The dolls were generously donated by Lynne as she helped to support a Girl Scout honoring her own friend with cancer with her Girl Scout Project.
Jamie was a Huggable Hero last year for Build-A-Bear and when we went to the store yesterday, the sales associate even recognized her! We love Build-A-Bear and really hope they can help to create a bear that would recognize pediatric cancers as it's such a wonderful way to bring a smile to a child. If you go to the Facebook page for Pediatric Cancer Awareness Bear, you will already see many pictures of children that have received a Build-A-Bear animal already thanks to the work from this wonderful woman.
